Deztopuz was a primordial wish sprite that existed millions of years, long before humans evolved on Hylox; it attempted to take the form of an ancient cephalopod. The creature spent its time exploring the ocean living a quiet and peaceful life among the many prehistoric animals, when it was discovered by Perry, Deztopuz had already been living there for over a millenia. It excited Perry as she knew this was a sign that the solar generator was booting up once again. Deztopuz was quite curious about Perry as well, they both became allies until humans started to take form. When humans discovered Deztopuz, some praised it as a higher deity due to its sheer size alone, despite there being a diminishing threshold it was also able to use magic much like Perry. As his followers grew in numbers many humans began to see Deztopuz as a threat, and attempted to vanquish him.

This sent Deztopuz into hiding in a littoral cave, He grew extremely fearful and resentful of humans, rarely approaching them. Many humans attempted to capture Deztopuz or simply catch a glimpse of the golden creature but it proved to be very elusive. As centuries went on humans began to form organized religion around Deztopuz, they built wishing temples, made of the stone-like hardened wish magic that was scattered around the land. Its followers await the solar generator's awakening and beg for Deztopuz’s forgiveness, treating it as the true ruler of Hylox.

This praise fueled the ancient monster's ego, and it demanded contribution for the suffering humans had caused it. In return for their worship Deztopuz waged war on the other humans who opposed it's followers, Deztopuz lorded over Hylox for many many years but inevitably, someone managed to strike it down and killed it. As the wish sprite shed it's physical form a large golden cloud lifted off into the sky and headed towards the sun, its followers took this as a sign that it would return one day and they continued their worship of the solar generator. The physical body that it left behind washed up on the shore and its followers harvested its meat and materials. Some of these materials exist to this day in museums.

Deztopuz's memories returned to the Solar generator. When the memories were processed by the other wish sprites they were impressed with Deztopuz's long life and the information it gathered; however the wish sprites collectively agreed that wasn't the correct way to approach the new Hylox.
